Kitchen Manager
We’re on the hunt for a talented, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team at The Hideout – a busy, buzzing independent burger and pizza joint with a proud local following. You’ll be responsible for keeping our food standards sky-high, the team motivated, and the kitchen running like clockwork.
Job Description
📍 Location: 173 Columbus Ravine, Scarborough, YO12 7QZ
💼 Position: Full-Time
💰 Pay: £14–£16 per hour (depending on experience)
📅 Hours: 40 hours per week (variable shifts, including evenings/weekends)
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality
• Assist in menu development, bringing creativity and innovation to our offering
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, following all health and safety standards
• Work alongside our kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
• Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
• Be part of a team that strives to improve and impress our customers continuously
What You'll Be Doing

Leading, training and motivating the kitchen team

Managing rotas, food costs, and kitchen budgets

Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards

Working closely with the owners to develop and launch new dishes

Ensuring consistency and quality on every plate

Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new team members

Pitching in where needed – we’re a tight-knit team!
What We're After:

Proven kitchen leadership experience (Head Chef or KM level)

Passion for food and creativity in the kitchen

Organised, calm under pressure, and a team player

Food hygiene qualifications (Level 2 or higher)

Good understanding of kitchen budgets and stock control
